| Flash and Bill Australian Shepherds are lovingly referred to as Aussies. They are highly intelligent, easily trainable and loyal family members. They are, however, first and foremost herding dogs....whether it be ducks, geese, sheep, horses, cattle.... and yes, even children. Please remember this when considering an Aussie. They are gentle dogs with big hearts and love being with people. Aussies are excellent watch dogs and very protective of their family and property. |
